Barcode & Label is a label design and barcode printing app for Windows. It subscribes to the principles of elegantly simple user interface design and enables users to produce Address Labels, Inventory Tags, Price Labels and Business Name Cards quickly and easily.
The app is bundled with over 900 industry label stock templates and 150 clip arts, and generates commonly used barcodes via font technology. It also supports vector shapes such as rectangle, ellipse, line, and both static and dynamic text/barcode fields. Users will be able to retrieve address and contact information from the Microsoft People’s app with just a few taps and have the information printed out in a snap. The app comes with capabilities such as Grid Snapping, Zooming, Rulers, Label Stock Customization, Undo/Redo, Objects Alignment, Multi-Objects Selection and WYSIWYG user interfaces – features found only in industrial strength desktop labeling software. Both the Inch and Centimeter measurement units are supported. The app is capable of creating Code 39, Industrial 2 of 5 and POSTNET barcode using TrueType fonts.
This is important for printing high quality barcode labels as it allows high resolution printing and produces barcodes that are sharp and accurate. The high resolution barcodes also ensures requirements of industry specifications such as those by GS1 and ISO can be met with ease. The QR Code 2D barcode is also supported and is generated using a high resolution image. The app is designed to work on both tablet and desktop mode on Windows and supports users using either the touch or mouse input interface.

Submitted on 9/24/2014 Review title of BillFYI:Does Not Support DYMO PnP Printer on Surface 2 This app while well executed does not support printing to a DYMO PnP label maker. I suspect that this is not the app developer's fault as there appears to be no DYMO driver available.
Win/RT recognizes the DYMO as an 'Other Device.' Other reviews have reported an inability to enter text. I had the same problem until I discovered that text is entered via a 'fly-in' dialogue. Just go to the app's support website for a quick visual tutorial. I'll rate this as 4-stars because it looks like a great app for labels and barcodes for supported printers.

Unfortunately, the printer I want to use is not supported. Submitted on 9/29/2016 Review title of TomCould be useful but needs work Its nice that I can create a custom template and can use an Excel spreadsheet for the data. If I don't want human readable text at the bottom of the barcode, I should have the option to remove it, but that option doesn't exist. It also seems that while I can adjust the size of the barcode field, I cant seem to make the barcode larger on the print out. Regardless as to how large a 40 pt barcode looks on the screen, it is smaller on paper. The app allows me to resize the box surrounding the barcode field but not the code within the field.
This is different than the text field. That can be resized and the larger or smaller size actually changes when printed.
. Before connecting the USB cable to the computer, check that the Editor Lite lamp is not lit. If the Editor Lite lamp is lit, press and hold down the Editor Lite button until the lamp goes off. Make sure that the AC adapter is connected to an AC power outlet. Make sure that the printer driver has been installed and is functional. Connect this printer to a computer with a USB cable.
